Where Confidence is Forged
& Leaders are Born
At The Foundry, we forge leadership, confidence, and survival skills through immersive, hands-on training.
Our programs are designed for kids, teens, and adults who want to build real-world skills, push their limits, and develop the mindset of an operator. Led by prior Special Operations Soldiers, every course challenges participants to master navigation, fieldcraft, tactical first aid, and resilience - while building teamwork, discipline, and grit.
Whether your goal is personal growth, leadership development, or just getting off the screen and into the field, The Foundry will test you, teach you, and forge confidence that lasts a lifetime.
Get ready to break from the routine and step into a day of adventure, challenge, and hands-on outdoor skill-building. The Junior Operators course is designed for kids ages 10–12 who are ready to learn real-world skills that build confidence, calm thinking, and a love for the outdoors — all under the guidance of experienced instructors.
In this first course on July 26th, your child will learn:
How to read a map and use a compass to find their way
The basics of building fires — from choosing the right kind of structure to actually lighting it with flint and steel
How to set up quick emergency shelters with just a poncho and paracord
Simple, practical first aid techniques for small injuries
How to work as a team to solve outdoor challenges and think through problems under pressure
It’s more than a camp — it’s a day that helps kids become calmer, more capable, and more prepared for anything.

It's on 180 acres of land right against the Cape Fear River. The terrain includes hills, valleys, draws, spurs, creeks, and swamps. The perfect location to prepare for any survival situation, only 25 minutes from Holly Springs.
Your child’s safety comes first in everything we do. Mike, the owner and lead instructor, is a former Special Forces Medical Sergeant with over eight years of advanced medical training and real-world emergency experience.
We provide water, Gatorade, and snacks on site, and start early in the day to beat the heat. A fully stocked medical aid kit is always on hand in the main training area, and every activity is carefully supervised with clear safety rules.
At The Foundry, we focus on building confidence and resilience — not pushing beyond safe limits. Parents can trust that their kids will be challenged in a secure, well-managed environment designed to keep them hydrated, energized, and learning throughout the day.
